Bryn Celynnog celebrates outstanding academic achievement
Our sixth annual Academic Achievement Awards ceremony took place on April 18th 2013 in a Sports Hall that was packed with students, staff, parents and visitors.
Students from all Year groups were nominated by their teachers to receive an award for achieving outstanding grades and levels in their subjects.
This year’s Ski Experience was a great success. Forty three students, ranging from Year 8 to Year 12 travelled to the resort of Aprica in the Dolomite mountains in Northern Italy.
The trip was a great success and saw skiers of all abilities having a great time and making fantastic progress in their lessons.
This year’s World Book Day on March 7th saw the library transformed into the wonderful world of Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Year 7 students ‘drunk a magical potion’ that made them small enough so that they could fit through the door!
Students are supporting our Fair Trade School status by organising Buy, Bake & Share break time events.
Griffin Claws Another Victory!
This year’s Eisteddfod on March 1st proved to be full of talent, surprises and fun in a Sports Hall that was packed to bursting. Students from all Key Stages entertained and amazed the audience with their confidence and talents. With entries in solos, duets, musical instruments, Welsh recitations, plus of course the House Choirs, there was something for everybody to enjoy.
